The restaurant is a fairly new opening at Grafton. They do have a small menu with chicken rice and a couple of other dishes, as well as nasi lemak on Fridays and Saturdays. You order at the counter and they bring you the food once its ready.
The curry mee is like a laksa and it is quite nice. It has a nice flavour and is filled with tasty items. I tried the original chicken which was also nice. The rice with the chicken was quite tasty. I did find their sambal to be on the bitter side. Their roti is quite large and has a nice crispness to it and goes nicely with the curry. The mee soto was ok and was nicer with the chilli sauce.
The food here is nice and interesting. Most of the items are under $20.
Had the Original Chicken Rice. Delicious & Generous chicken and rice portion. Perfect vegetable portion. Not too spicy chilli sauce.
The curry puff is awesome too! Make sure you fellas buy some extra for your breakfast tomorrow.

Husband and wife owned restaurant offering Malaysian cuisine at Grafton, Auckland.
Our first time there. Convenient location just across Auckland Hospital, 10 minutes walk from Grafton train station.
We had Lamb stew and Nasi Ayam Sambal. Curry puff for dessert.
Lamb stew is their signature dish, was absolutely delicious. The lamb portion was melt-in-the-mouth tender, well seasoned, generous black pepper but not overly hot. Carrots, potatoes and celery in the stew.
Nasi Ayam Sambal was a generous potion, more than usual restaurant. Authentic spicy sambal not for the faint hearted. Large chicken portion, fried, well seasoned with fair amount of vegetables on the side.
Love the rustic ambience and the warm welcome from owners.
Highly recommended halal food and children friendly.
